Primary Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Provides dual species (swine and poultry) technical advice to the sales, marketing and operation units, and supports the sales team to achieve allocated sales targets. Supports the training of sales managers regarding nutrition outcomes and technology utilization in both the domestic U.S. and international markets. Designs and executes in vivo research projects. Contributes to discussion of protocols, data, and project reports. Assists in the development of the Technical Services work plan, ensuring that sufficient resources are available both internally and externally to meet customers’ requirements. Develops and conducts internal and external technical presentations to support sales and technical service. Provides feedback on market development and customer needs. Prepares species business cases and coordinates with the marketing team to prepare sales tools and programs. Assists with evaluating field trials and suggesting product testing and development. Analyzes data related to nutrition, feed ingredients, and feed additives. . Attends scientific meetings and make presentations at such meetings.
Minimum Job Qualifications / Requirements:
Requires Ph.D. in Poultry Science, Animal Science or related field plus 2 years’ experience in an animal research position providing dual species (swine and poultry) technical advice. Experience to include performing statistical analyses, working with livestock production and animal nutrition/health, and applying nutrition knowledge to feed.
Position reports to Sheridan, Indiana office and may telecommute part-time. Requires domestic and international travel to various unanticipated locations up to 50% of the time.
