Summary / Purpose of Position:
The primary function or purpose of this position is to provide leadership for the People Operations function of the company, as well as participate in daily execution of HR related processes with the goal to assure the proper systems, policies and programs are developed and implemented. This position will provide the Executive team with recommendations and direction for overall organizational capability as it relates to its people so that so that the company can most effectively utilize the talents and skills of its employees.
Primary Job Responsibilities / Duties:
- Organization Structure: Evaluate, plan, develop and revise the organizational structure of the company to maximize efficiencies and engage in other organizational development activities that enhance the company.
- Succession Planning: Oversee the development and facilitation of the organization’s succession planning program. Identify high-potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for key leadership roles. Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on succession planning best practices. Implement and maintain systems to track and report on the progress of succession planning initiatives.
- Goal Setting / Performance Management: Plan, develop, implement, direct, evaluate and revise the organization’s performance management activities to assure the employees have the skills needed to perform their jobs effectively. Ensure systems are in place to promote quality job performance that meets the needs of the organization. Works in conjunction with the Managing Director – Market Insights and Emerging Trends.
- Global / OUS: Assist in hiring suitably skilled employees, manage contracts, and support regulatory compliance. Understand and manage geographic, linguistic, and cultural differences amongst workforce to achieve maximum productivity and engagement. Assess needs for a global talent mobility program.
- DEI: Design a Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and gain senior leadership buy-in for diversity and inclusion efforts. Be a role model for inclusive behavior and actively work to promote a culture of inclusivity throughout the organization. Responsible for providing training and education to all employees on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Secondary Responsibilities / Duties:
- Plan, evaluate, revise and carry-out the organization’s written policies to assure fair treatment of employees, effective operation of the business, maintain morale and comply with all appropriate laws and regulations.
- Develop and manage the People Operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, compensation, recruiting, and engagement.
Additional Job Responsibilities / Duties:
- Will participate in Senior Leadership activities, including weekly meetings
- Will be a member of the Compensation Committee
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Typical Work Environment
- Majority of work is conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Position can be hybrid between corporate facilities and personal home office
Minimum Job Qualification Requirements:
Education / Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Communications or other relevant major or equivalent professional experience
Relevant Job Experience:
- 15+ years professional experience in multiple human resource positions
- 5+ years experience leading others and leading an HR function
Specialized Job / Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of personnel administration and practices, including employment laws and regulations, compensation, benefits, safety, training, organizational development, recruiting, policy and employee relations concepts
- Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office software and HRIS system
- Knowledge of human behavior and psychology concepts
- Knowledge of organizational design program implementation concepts

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources or MBA
- 2+ years HR experience in an agricultural-related company
