Summary / Purpose of Position:
The primary function or purpose of this position is to perform accounting and reporting duties in for corporate Finance department of United Animal Health.

Primary Job Responsibilities / Duties, but not limited to the following:

  • Primary oversight of a paperless document management system (MetaViewer) for accounts payable
  • Initiate online banking transactions
  • Oversee the company expense report system for timely submissions and payments
  • Administer the corporate credit card program. Manage credit card users, oversee the review and approval of charges, prepare monthly charge report and make monthly journal entries by subsidiary
  • Provide assistance to CFO and accounting staff, as needed. Schedule meetings, perform word processing, filing, mailing, presentations, etc.
  • Sales tax compliance and filing

Typical Work Environment

  • Majority of work is conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment

Minimum Job Qualification Requirements:

Education / Training:

  • AS in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent job experience

Relevant Job Experience:

  • 2 – 4 years professional experience in using computers and office equipment
  • 2 – 4 years professional experience working an accounting administrative role that included basic financial transactions

Specialized Job / Technical Knowledge:

  • Ability to perform basic accounting procedures
  • Knowledge how to operate a computer and intermediate expertise using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of how to operate office equipment (copier, fax, mailing machine)

Non-Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills, including ability to effectively interact with Senior Management
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent telephone and email etiquette

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. periodically
