Summary / Purpose of Position:
The primary function of this role is to coordinate warehouse activities, encompassing product shipping, receiving, system transactions, as well as maintaining and organizing the company-managed warehouse.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and product quantities.
  • Regularly update the inventory system to reflect real-time stock levels and facilitate efficient order fulfillment.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Receive and process customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to prioritize and fulfill orders according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and packing lists for outgoing orders.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any damaged or substandard products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Arrange and optimize the storage of products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
  • Implement and maintain a logical and efficient product layout to minimize handling time and enhance safety.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, including wearing all PPE, ensuring a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, promoting proper storage practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and transportation, to ensure seamless coordination of supply chain operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on inventory status, order fulfillment, and any potential issues.

Additional Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bag stacking on pallets as needed.

Typical Work Environment:

  • Most of the work is conducted in a semi-temperature-controlled warehouse with minimal dust & noise.

Minimum Job Qualification Requirements:

Education / Training:

  • H.S. degree, GED or equivalent professional experience.

Relevant Job Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years professional experience in warehouse environment or logistics role, preferably within animal nutrition, agriculture, or related industry.

Specialized Job / Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of warehouse management principles.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Non-Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to perform precise record-keeping and quality checks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues, superiors, and external partners effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle a high volume of tasks efficiently.
  • Champion of teamwork, valuing combined efforts for success. 

Licenses / Certification:

  • Forklift operation certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds or more as required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computer software including, Microsoft Office, Great Plains (GP), Citrix and WithOutWire (WOW)
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License
