Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  This position includes some overtime hours and occasional Saturday work.

Position Summary:
This role at United Animal Health centers on the safe and efficient delivery of feed to customers. The primary responsibility is to load and transport feed in adherence to safety guidelines and timelines.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive to customer sites to deliver feed, ensuring timely and reliable transportation.
  • Load and prepare the feed truck for efficient and secure transportation.
  • Unload feed at customer locations with careful attention to the delivery process.
  • Communicate effectively with salespersons, customers, and management to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork with accuracy to ensure thorough record-keeping.
  • Maintain and clean the delivery truck, upholding standards of cleanliness and functionality.
  • Ensure precise manufacturing processes by batching bulk ingredients, executing micro batch hand adds, and skillfully operating mixing equipment.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, inventory control, cleanliness, and efficient loading of outbound products for customer delivery.

Additional Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Promptly communicate and address any mechanical issues with the delivery truck.
  • Strictly follow biosecurity policies to maintain the integrity of the working environment.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualification Requirements:

Education / Training:

  • Possess a High School Degree or GED.
  • Hold a Class A CDL.

Relevant Job Experience:

  • Accumulate 1 to 3 years of professional driving experience.
  • Attain 1 to 2 years of delivery experience.
  • Maintain a Good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Specialized Job / Technical Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of DOT regulations and traffic laws.
  • Exhibit proficiency in basic mechanical and repair principles.
  • Display proficiency in using road maps and following directions.
  • Apply understanding of loading and delivery procedures.
  • Follow all farm biosecurity procedures to mitigate the risk of disease transmission.
  • Preferably proficient in forklift operation but will train onsite.

Non-Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Showcase excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess the ability to address customer concerns.

Licenses / Certification:

  • Hold a Class A CDL.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Conduct the majority of work in a temperature-controlled vehicle environment.
  • Occasionally work on customer sites and in non-temperature-controlled warehouse environments, exposed to various elements.
  • Demonstrate capability to lift (60 lbs. or more), stand, walk, work from heights and climb ladders.
  • Display endurance to sit for prolonged periods and maintain focus.
  • Comply with DOT physical certification requirements.

Safety Requirements:

  • Utilize mandated company-issued uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere strictly to all company, traffic, OSHA, and DOT safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
